Grow Well supports people in disadvantaged communities in Cardiff struggling with mental or physical health, loneliness or isolation through community gardening. Edible Playgrounds

We have delivered 23 Edible Playground projects in Cardiff

Using a whole school approach over 12 months, we provide hands-on training to teachers and children. Through our support, schools can independently and successfully sustain a productive, biodiverse garden, linked to the new curriculum for Wales.

“Outdoor learning is an integral part of the Curriculum for Wales, and the Edible Playground allows us to follow the interests of the learners. It has given us more purpose to taking the children outdoors and doing cross-curricular activities with numeracy/literacy outdoors which may not have been attempted previously. The onus has been transferred from a few members of staff to a staff-wide approach” Teacher, Ysgol Y Wern
